Ready to learn a fun new game and make some friends along the way? Our Mini Mahjong class is designed just for kids ages 9-12. This beginner series will guide young players step-by-step through the game, helping them understand the basics and start playing with confidence. We will be using the “Mini Mahjer” tiles and card to introduce the basics of American Mahjong.
Our classes are playful, hands-on, and full of visual learning to make Mahjong easy and exciting from the very first session. Kids can join on their own or with friends, and they’ll be welcomed into a positive, upbeat environment where learning, laughter, and connection come first.
Class Dates:
Fridays — April 10, 17, 24th, and May 1st, 2026
• 1:15pm–3:15pm • location: private residence in La Costa
Small class size, capped at 12 participants, so everyone receives plenty of hands-on guidance and personalized support.

★ The basic rules and flow of American Mahjong
★ Setting up the table, dealing, and playing the game
★ Recognizing and understanding the tiles
★ Simple strategies to make smart, confident moves
