Beginner Mahjong Class (3-Week Series)
New to Mahjong? This thoughtfully designed beginner series will guide you through the game with clarity, structure, and hands-on instruction so you can learn the fundamentals and begin playing with confidence.
Our class style is relaxed yet highly intentional, with a strong visual and step-by-step approach that makes the game feel approachable from the very first class. Whether you attend on your own or with friends, this series offers a welcoming environment to learn, connect, and become part of our growing Mahjong community. We keep the atmosphere positive, upbeat, and enjoyable, so come ready to learn, laugh, and bring a smile :)
Class Dates:
Thursdays - April 9th, 16th, 23rd 2026
• 2.5 hours: 9:30am-12:00pm
• Location: TBD
What We’ll Cover:
★ The basic rules and flow of American Mahjong
★ Understanding the National Mahjong League card and how to read it with ease
★ Table setup, dealing and game mechanics
★ Understanding the tiles
★ Foundational strategies to help you make confident, informed decisions
★ Official 2025 National Mahjong League Card
★ Mingle & Mahj SD Curriculum Guide
We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to be fair while also honoring the time, preparation, and limited seating involved in each class.
Refunds & Cancellations
Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the start time of the first class in a series are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the first class are non-refundable, for any reason.
Unfortunately, illness, scheduling conflicts, or emergencies cannot be accommodated for refunds within the 72-hour window.
Multi-Class Series
Once you have attended any portion of a multi-class series, no partial refunds will be issued for missed remaining classes.
No-Shows
Payment is required in full to reserve your seat.
Any no-shows will forfeit their registration and are not eligible for a refund or credit.
Thank you for understanding and respecting these policies, which allow us to keep class sizes intimate and ensure the best possible experience for all players.
