Guided Mahjong Play Night at Union Kitchen & Tap - $40 per ticket
Join us for a fun and relaxed evening of mahjong, connection, and guided support at Union Kitchen & Tap in Encinitas!
This event is perfect for players who already know the basics of mahjong and want more practice, confidence, and community around the game. You’ll enjoy open play at tables of four while Ashley and additional advanced mahjong players circulate throughout the evening to answer questions, offer support with hands, and help strengthen your game as needed.
And if you don’t feel like you need much support anymore, that’s completely okay too! This evening is also simply a wonderful opportunity to gather, play, socialize, and enjoy mahjong together.
No need to bring a full group, come as you are! Whether you arrive solo or with friends, this is a great way to meet other players and expand your mahjong community.
Your ticket includes:
• Guided open play from 6:00–8:30 PM
• One drink
• Appetizers
• Access to raffles and fun mahjong prizes
Space is limited to 20 players to keep the evening intimate and supportive, so be sure to reserve your spot early!

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to be fair while also honoring the time, preparation, and limited seating involved in each class.
Refunds & Cancellations
Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the start time is eligible for a full refund (minus processing fees).
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the first class are non-refundable, for any reason.
Unfortunately, illness, scheduling conflicts, or emergencies cannot be accommodated for refunds within the 72-hour window.
No-Shows
Payment is required in full to reserve your seat.
Any no-shows will forfeit their registration and are not eligible for a refund or credit.
If you miss a class in a series, no refund will be provided.
Thank you for understanding and respecting these policies, which allow us to keep class sizes intimate and ensure the best possible experience for all players.
Alcohol Consumption Policy & Terms
To create the best possible learning environment for all students, Mingle & Mahj SD maintains the following alcohol policy during classes and events held at Union Kitchen & Tap.
Mahjong is a strategy-based game that requires concentration, memory, focus, and active participation from all players. Excessive alcohol consumption can disrupt the learning experience and enjoyment of the class for others.
Alcohol Service Guidelines
One alcoholic beverage will be provided (you may select a non-alcholic beverage).
Students may purchase additional beverages directly from the restaurant at their own expense.
A maximum of two alcoholic beverages total per student is permitted during class time.
Students are expected to arrive to class sober and ready to participate. Excessive alcohol consumption prior to class is not permitted.
Prohibited Conduct
Bringing outside alcohol, including alcohol concealed in water bottles or other containers, is strictly prohibited.
Excessive intoxication, disruptive behavior, or conduct that negatively impacts the experience of other students will not be tolerated.
Right to Refuse Service & Removal
Mingle & Mahj SD reserves the right to refuse participation, discontinue instruction, or ask any student to leave the class if they:
Exceed the two-drink limit
Appear visibly intoxicated
Become disruptive, inappropriate, or unable to participate appropriately in class activities
If a student is asked to leave due to violation of this policy, no refund, credit, or class transfer will be provided.
Our goal is to create a welcoming, enjoyable, and respectful environment where all students can relax, learn, and enjoy the game together. Thank you for understanding and supporting a positive experience for everyone.
