Beginner Mahjong Class (3-Week Series)
New to mahjong? This 3-week beginner series is designed to take you from not knowing the game to playing with confidence, step by step, in a way that actually makes sense.
Perfect for anyone looking for a fun social outlet, who wants to learn something new, and is craving meaningful connection and a weekly experience to genuinely look forward to.
Each session builds on the last, using a clear, visual teaching style so you’re never overwhelmed and always know what to do next. By the end of the series, you won’t just understand the game, you’ll be comfortably playing and ready to join a table.
But what makes this class special is what happens around the table. Mahjong has a way of bringing people together, and each week becomes more than a lesson, it’s a chance to connect, share laughs, and enjoy a social experience that quickly becomes a highlight of your week.

★ Table setup, dealing and game mechanics
★ Understanding the tiles

★ Mingle & Mahj SD Beginners Guide To Learning American Mahjong

We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to be fair while also honoring the time, preparation, and limited seating involved in each class.
Refunds & Cancellations
Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the start time of the first class in a series are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the first class are non-refundable, for any reason.
Unfortunately, illness, scheduling conflicts, or emergencies cannot be accommodated for refunds within the 72-hour window.
Multi-Class Series
Once you have attended any portion of a multi-class series, no partial refunds will be issued for missed remaining classes.
We can not/will not pro-rate a class if you are only able to attend a portion of the classes - we expect attendance for all classes.
No-Shows
Payment is required in full to reserve your seat.
Any no-shows will forfeit their registration and are not eligible for a refund or credit.
If you miss a class in a series, no refund will be provided.
Thank you for understanding and respecting these policies, which allow us to keep class sizes intimate and ensure the best possible experience for all players.
